W5000 (3c42b4ff-7e50-569b-bbdd-031fbc9ae981)
The W5000 is a medium‑altitude, long‑endurance (MALE) cargo UAV built by China’s Air White Whale. Powered by twin AEP‑100 turboprop engines, it can carry up to 5 t (5 000 kg) of freight in a 65 m³ cargo bay, cruise at 526 km/h, and reach roughly 2 600 km with a 3.2‑t payload. Designed for conventional wheeled take‑off and landing, it can use both general‑aviation and commercial airports, with rear‑mounted clamshell doors and a loading ramp for rapid pallet handling. A ground‑control system allows one operator to monitor six‑seven aircraft simultaneously, enabling autonomous, high‑volume resupply to remote or austere locations—capabilities that serve both civilian logistics markets and the PLA’s strategic air‑lift requirements.
