Shahed 147 (542d5458-2e6a-5d2f-b7c4-5c5b24c68b2a)
The Shahed‑147, developed by Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA), is a high‑altitude, long‑endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial system designed primarily for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). Unveiled in 2023, the twin‑boom drone features a 26‑metre wingspan, a turboprop powerplant and a service ceiling of roughly 60,000 ft (≈20 km), enabling prolonged flights at stratospheric heights. Its payload includes an advanced synthetic‑aperture radar (SAR) that can produce high‑resolution imagery in all weather conditions, giving the platform surveillance capabilities comparable to the U.S. Global Hawk. The Shahed‑147 therefore serves as a strategic asset for Iran’s long‑range monitoring of vast territories and potential adversary movements.
